Last year we submitted an application to upgrade from FTTN (Fibre to the Node) to FTTP (Fibre to the premise)
NBN Co Came back to us with a Quote for $8,662
Our cable length from our Node to our building is 210 meters from the node, with a simple path.
We have requested repetitively from NBN Co a please explain along with an itemised quote to which they keep on denying.
Since then we have been able to obtain from another customers paid invoice from NBN Co which has been itemised.
This customer had a cable length of 300m

Installation underground | 5.65/m | $ 1,186.50 |
Installation of fibre joints enclosure | 231 / Unit | $ 231.00 |
re-entry for testing purposes | 162 / Install | $ 162.00 |

Design and project management overheads including quality audit and data uplift | $ 1,551.00 | $ 1,551.00 |
Total Cost $ 6343
Based on the Unit & Rate of NBN Costing, our estimated install cost to the shop should be $4,897.50 so why the nearly $4,000 price difference?
Apparently NBN co states that they are making "No Profit" from any upgrades, yet won't explain their costings or itemise their quotes to customers under the Technology Choice Program.
We have written to misters requesting additional information with a please explain, we will keep you posted on reponses.
